Description

This is a preparation course for the CDA Credential that focuses on how to promote children’s self esteem, independence and feelings of physical and emotional security. Children’s development of social skills, empathy and respect for others is emphasized. You will learn the relationship between guidance methods and children’s individuality, personality and developmental needs. Prevention of behavior problems and positive guidance techniques are presented. 2 clock hours of assigned field experiences. 32 hours. College credit option available.
