Description

High quality child care benefits children throughout their entire lives. Increasing quality of care is a major concern of every child care professional and there are many different quality initiatives designed to do just that!

This course will provide early care and education professionals with an overview of advocacy in the field of early care and education and specific issues affecting children, parents, and staff. You will learn what advocacy is and how you can be an effective advocate. The course will also provide an overview of quality initiatives and you will explore the importance of quality in child care settings, some of the best known national quality initiatives, and ways to be an advocate for quality.
