The goal of positive guidance is to develop children's self-control, encourage children to assume responsibility, and assist children in making thoughtful decisions.

Goals and Objectives

As a result of this training participants will be able to:
1. Define and identify the characteristics and reasons behind challenging behaviors in young children.
2. Describe the relationship between young children's behavior and communication.
3. Distinguish between discipline and punishment.
4. Describe positive discipline measures to respond to challenging behavior.
5. Understand the role of Mental health Consultants in the early childhood setting.
